Throughout my career, I've learned that the strongest security controls can still fail when people are confused, overwhelmed, or manipulated. That's why I've dedicated my career to helping organizations protect people—not just systems—from financial fraud, cybercrime, and human risk.

 

My professional journey has been intentionally multidisciplinary. I began in communications and marketing, developed into technology leadership, and ultimately found my passion in cybersecurity, especially around social engineering, fraud prevention, and cognitive security. Today, I combine those experiences to bridge the gap between technical security controls and the people who rely on them every day.

 

Over the past decade, I've led technical teams, improved IT operations, supported enterprise technology environments, strengthened security practices, and developed training and communication strategies that make cybersecurity understandable and actionable. I believe that effective security isn't simply about implementing technology—it's about creating cultures where employees, customers, and leaders consistently make safer decisions.

I'm especially passionate about helping financial institutions address one of today's greatest challenges: protecting people from increasingly sophisticated fraud while preserving the trust that customers place in their organizations.

My passion stems from my own experiences dealing with cybercrime (yes, even cybersecurity professionals can get tricked). I am a victim of cybercrime and have family and friends who also been taken advantage of by ne'er-do-wells. I've seen the impact firsthand.  I believe empowerment is the human shield that can help protect ourselves from this bane of our existence.
